I am a licensed Investment Advisor Representative with an active Series 66 license and pursuing a CFP® and AFC® designation. My career began 4 years ago at one of the largest broker dealers in the United States. I have assisted clients in every stage of life and I consider myself a subject matter expert in a variety of topics; including:
Interests: I am extremely active person! I love spending time outside hunting, fishing, camping and especially traveling around the world to place like Kenya, Uganda, Mexico and Israel. My wife and I have one baby boy named Emmett and they mean everything to me.
When it comes to wealth management and managing our financial lives I believe that “true wealth” goes beyond your balance sheet but rather a balanced life. I love being in this industry because wealth management impacts all areas of our lives. Alan has 40 years’ of experience as a business consultant and in managing businesses of many types including accounting, real estate development, and equipment leasing. Early in his life he earned his Bachelors Degree in Finance & Real Estate from California State University and later a MBA at UCLA majoring in Business Administration and Economics. His career began at Merrill Lynch where he spent 12 years until he decided to build First Financial Advisors LC in 1998. Alan treasures his relationships with his clients and is passionate about his work. He is a life-long student that deeply cares about understand the world around him.
As Chief Investment Officer for First Financial Advisors LC, I am dedicated to helping my clients meet their financial needs. Before entering the financial services industry, I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Organizational Communication and worked in our family business, Winder Dairy for 12 years. I then become President of another family venture, Valley View Memorial Park and built a Funder Home on the property. After successfully operating this business for several years, I became an Area Vice President for Service Corporation International. Following my time with Service Corp I became a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and secured my Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. I also spent several years working as a Financial Advisor for Wells Fargo. As the Chief Investment Officer with First Financial Advisors, I take pride working for an independent firm that puts your interests first. My mission is to help each one of my clients plan for a financial future in a way that best meets his or her goals. Together, we can discuss financial strategies designed to fit your unique situation.
Interests: I enjoy the wonderful recreational activities provided by our beautiful mountains and enjoy frequent visits from our four grown children, their spouses, and our grandchildren.
